About Gary King
I’m a writer, speaker and lover of all things that raise the heartbeat and tickle the senses. If there is one thing that I’ve learnt from my years of extreme sport and adventure travel is that life is for living - not spectating.

Life's for Living Not Spectating - "Adventure Talk Series'
Presentation to the Chartered Institute of Marketing in April 2010.
Looking for a little bit of spice in your life?
My talks use my real life adventures to inspire and enthuse a sense of excitement about trying new things - how we can all challenge ourselves and live life to the fullest.
Talks can be tailored for individual needs although they're typically 45 minutes long and include photographs and videos of my exploits whilst sky diving, jungle trekking, wing walking, racing in the Arctic and about some of the amazing people I've met along the way.
The presentations are highly interactive with a Q and A session at the end in which participants can quiz me on how they can embrace life and live it to the max.
After all life is for living, not spectating.
If you require any more information about my talks please send me a message in the contact box (below the orangutan at the bottom of the page). Prices depend on location and size of audience.
I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Ice Face in the Arctic
“My team and I thoroughly enjoyed Gary’s presentation. It covered a broad range of his adventures and was told in a lively and upbeat manner. The next time I get attacked by a polar bear or get stuck over a 50 metre deep crevasse I’ll know what to do. Or get chased by an orangutan come to think of it! Would definitely have him back.”
Andy Bellamy, Broadcast Manger, Jigsaw Systems, Nottingham.
"Gary's talk to the Rotary Club of Loughborough Beacon was a shot in the arm and I am envious that he does a job that I'd like to do - combining adventure with writing about it! Most of us were impressed by his account of evading polar bears on the Arctic ice-cap, doing free-fall parachute jumps and wing-walking on a bi-plane, and even more so because he gets paid to do these things. Gary speaks most generously about Rotary and he clearly champions our cause, especially Polio Plus, our programme to eradicate polio throughout the world. I strongly recommend Gary as a motivational speaker and I look forward to reading many more of his inspiring articles."
