Tandem Paragliding
This is about as close as it gets to flying. It's wonderful. You'll be attached to a fully qualified tandem paraglider who will give you a taste of what it's like to control an awesome glider.
What You Get From the Experience
Once you've had a full safety briefing and learnt all about the equipment you'll be strapped in with the tandem pilot to soar on thermals.
Availability
Tandem Paragliding is available all year round depending upon conditions.
Weather
Paraglding is dependent upon the weather. You should make sure that you call the paragliding school on the day before and on the day of course to make sure that the weather makes flying possible.
Duration
Including your safety briefing Tandem Paragliding takes between 1 to 3 hours. The flight will be between 5 and 10 minutes.
Clothing / Equipment
The paragliding school will provide all the equipment and safety gear required for the flight. You should take sufficient clothing to ensure that you don't get cold as much of the day is spent outside. Stout footwear that offers ankle protection is recommended as is something to eat and drink. Please ensure that your boots have NO hooks.
Restrictions
Age restrictions: Minimum age is 14. Under 18s must have parental consent. Weight Restrictions: Maximum Weight is 90KG (14.2 Stone) In the interest of your own safety you must give details of any medical condition that may affect your ability to do this activity. If you are in any doubt, please contact your GP for advice. This price includes £10 BHPA Membership giving you third party insurance cover for the day.
